Jen

Primary Tutor

Jen is a qualified primary teacher with almost 10 years’ experience working in education, as preschool manager and SENCo; teaching assistant across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, and as a teacher across Key Stages 1 and 2. In addition to primary PGCE with QTS, Jen holds a Bachelor’s degree in childhood and youth studies and a Master’s degree in philosophy. She has a keen interest in special educational needs and lots of experience supporting children with neurodiversity and a range of learning differences, as well as those learning English as an additional language.  

 

Jen enjoys problem-solving and finding fun ways to get creative during learning. She loves the individual approach that comes with 1:1 and small group tuition, and is passionate about helping children to build confidence in their abilities. As well as offering private primary tuition, Jen enjoys teaching music and piano, and works in schools as part of the National Tutoring Programme. 

 

Jen will be offering online and face-to-face tuition in Harrogate and the surrounding areas.
